Terms of Service

1. Who can use ClubCity

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must provide an email address you actually control. You may only maintain one account per person unless we've given you explicit permission otherwise (e.g., a separate account for running a neighborhood business).

2. Acceptable use

ClubCity is a neighborhood social space. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or impersonate anyone.
• Post illegal content, incitement to violence, or CSAM.
• Send spam, chain messages, bulk commercial solicitations, or phishing links.
• Scrape the platform, automate actions at scale, or hit our API outside its documented rate limits.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
• Use ClubCity to distribute malware or execute fraud.
• Misrepresent your identity or neighborhood (e.g., claim to be an official rep of an HOA or city you don't represent).

Our full behavioral expectations live in the Community Guidelines — they are part of these Terms by reference.

3. Your content — you own it

Posts, comments, photos, and everything else you publish on ClubCity remain your intellectual property. You do not transfer ownership to us.

That said, to run the platform we need a practical license: you grant ClubCity a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, cache, back up, and distribute your content to the members of the neighborhoods where you posted it, and to run spam / abuse detection on it. This license exists solely to make the platform work and terminates when you delete the content (with a short caching tail, usually under 48 hours).

4. Moderation and reporting

Neighborhood moderators and admins, plus our platform team, can remove content that violates the Community Guidelines. We also run automated checks against spam and abuse.

If you see content that violates the Guidelines, report it using the in-page Report button. We respond to reports as quickly as volunteer / staff capacity allows, typically within 48 hours for high-severity reports.

5. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account if the holder repeatedly or egregiously violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or if required by law. We will usually attempt to warn and educate first; permanent bans are reserved for serious violations.

You may delete your account at any time via the Privacy Center. Deletion is effective after a 14-day grace period during which you can cancel the request.

6. No warranty

ClubCity is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will always be available, fast, or bug-free. We don't guarantee that a neighbor's post is accurate, safe, or true — exercise your own judgment with anything you read here.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClubCity and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for free accounts, that's $0).

8. Indemnification

You agree to hold ClubCity harmless from claims arising out of content you post or actions you take on the platform that violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify active users via in-app notification and/or email. Your continued use of ClubCity after a change means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't, your remedy is to delete your account.
